Meet Our Team

Dr. Shanti Sivaraman

Dr. Shanti brings a wealth of experience and a passion for veterinary medicine to Chase Oaks Animal Clinic. A proud graduate of the prestigious Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (TANUVAS) in India, Dr. Shanti earned his veterinary degree in 2002. He initially honed his skills in large animal medicine in India until 2005, when he moved to Canada to pursue a master’s degree at the University of Alberta in Edmonton.

Upon completing his master’s degree, Dr. Shanti achieved his DVM license through the Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinary Graduates (ECFVG) and the National Examining Board (NEB). He then practiced mixed animal medicine in Canada until 2013, after which he focused exclusively on small animal practice in and around Edmonton, Alberta, until 2018.

In 2018, Dr. Shanti moved to the United States, embarking on new adventures and bringing his expertise to two large corporate animal hospitals. By December 2023, he had gathered extensive experience and joined Chase Oaks Animal Clinic in January 2024. At Chase Oaks, Dr. Shanti is committed to continuing the legacy of quality care and client education established by Dr. Sanders upon his retirement.

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Shanti is a devoted father to two wonderful children—a daughter who recently celebrated her Sweet 16 and a son who is almost 10. He also cares for a beautiful, special needs cat named Elliot, who holds a special place in his heart. Dr. Shanti’s dedication to his family and his patients is evident in everything he does, making him a cherished member of the Chase Oaks Animal Clinic team.
